Light and Materiality – ongoing research

Since 2016 I have been engaging in drawing upon the felt-sense-making opportunities in different materials, both found and given, man made and nature based

using phenomenological felt-sensed (Merleau-Ponty, Deleuze) pathways with/in my embodied experience of material-discursive others (considering matter and meaning interconnected or entangled) I have been noticing the myriad intra actions (K. Barad) that form intricate parts of my consciousness, my mind and body, that make me who I am

we are never separate

Deeply process based and explorative I am using my bodily felt sensed experience as a form of enquiry/research; making responses to the wood, colour, glass, silk, paper, air, light, time, water… and revealing the inherent nature and potential of different pieces and myself too. I make responses throughout the process with movement, writing, drawing, photography, music and painting
